Evaluation of the mechanical and macrostructural characteristics of concrete using the method of local destruction

Abstract. A new method for estimating mechanical and macrostructural properties of concrete exploited reinforced concrete structures.The method consists in local destruction of the concrete sawing diamond disc. The studies revealed a close relationship of the average specific energy of fracture of concrete sawing with the standard cube strength. The error in determination of concrete strength was 7%. To assess other characteristics of concrete were used the magnitude of the dispersion energy of the individual cuts.The article presents the obtained experimental dependences. The method is tested in conditions of industrial sites and residential buildings.
