The stability of statically indeterminate systems of wood

Abstract. Wood as a building material has a variable modulus of elasticity, depending on the stresses occurring in them. However, the calculation of wood structures according to the SP 64.13330.2011 “Wooden constructions”, this parameter is taken equal to E=const. This approach can have an impact on the one hand to save material, and on the other the insufficient strength of the designed structures. The authors made theoretical calculations of the rings the two cases using the method movements. In the first case, the modulus of elasticity was taken equal to the constant to SP, and in the second case were taken depending on the level of stresses arising in the racks. When processing the obtained data revealed that the free length of these pillars, taking into account the variation of modulus of deformation at different stages of deformation are structural systems of wood by 10% reduces the free length defined from the condition that E = const. In this regard, it can be concluded that in the calculation of wooden structures, it is necessary.
