Abstract. The article is devoted to the rheological characteristics of selfcompacting (SCC) and selfstressing concrete (SSC) obtained as results of the investigations of the properties of the SССSSC using various test methods such as: slumpflow cone; Vfunnel test; Lbox test; Jring test; Jring setup with inverted mold filled with concrete; visual stability index and visual blocking index. The article also presents the physical and mechanical characteristics of selfcompacting selfstressing concrete, in particular, obtained from the results of tests using a device for determining the linear expansion and a device for measuring of selfstressing with a dynamometric conductor. Noted advantages and efficiency of application of the stressing of selfcompacting concrete, especially for prevention of the such unfavourable phenomena as shrinkage of concrete.
