Abstract. Reduction of heat losses in buildings is of great importance for energy saving on heating and is possible by installation of doubleglazed windows with special energysaving coatings. It should be borne in mind that such coatings reduce and heat from solar radiation. The aim of this work is to assess the reduction of heat losses by reducing the heat loss when replacing Windows with energysaving for the whole building. For this purpose, an indicator equal to the ratio of heat loss reduction taking into account heat access before and after replacement of doubleglazed windows with energysaving ones was introduced. The calculation of this indicator was carried out on the example of the building. This indicator can be used in economic calculations when assessing the efficiency of energysaving glazing.
