Abstract. defines the boundaries of activity of the radioactive radon gas that are relevant to research within the physics building. Within these limits, the concentration of radon atoms corresponds to an ultrahigh vacuum in which atoms move as independent particles, never colliding with each other. It is concluded that the diffusion model of Fick is not applicable for modeling the distribution of radon in the atmosphere.
