Abstract. The article considers the possibility of optimizing the volume of noise screens. During this work, calculations and computer modeling of long stretches of the road with a complex relief were performed to evaluate the impact of various options for placing noise screens on adjacent residential buildings. Relevant sites that require a thorough review of the placement of noise barriers and measures to protect against noise transport. For a visual demonstration of the optimization noise maps were built for the residential area before and afteroptimization. The estimation of an economic effect from optimization is given.
