Abstract. The results of experimental studies of the formation and propagation of sound energy in large air ducts of building ventilation systems and in gasair tracts of power objects are presented. On the basis of the obtained data, the possibility of using the combined noise calculation method, taking into account the mirrordiffuse nature of the reflection of sound from enclosures, is used to determine the energy characteristics of air ducts.
