Transport in the architectural and planning environment of the metropolis: some aspects of the problem

Abstract. The article considers aspects of urban planning. The author believes that urban planning is associated with the organization of urban transport. The state of the transport infrastructure is assessed. The article is based on the results of a sociological survey conducted with the help of a questionnaire. The survey was conducted among young and mobile residents of the capital. Respondents compared the main types of land transport. Settlement factors were first taken into account when determining transport preferences. The novelty of the study is that it uses new methods. Methods of the sociology of urban planning and architecture were involved. These methods complement the analysis tools traditionally used by architects and city planners.
