The wind regime residential development basin topography of Kabul

Abstract. Mountain basin topography requires an individual approach to the design of residential development, given the stagnation of the atmospheric air of settlements.
Accounting and the ability to use wind mode creates a large economic effect in the planning and building of cities and their residential buildings is particularly relevant this topic is in an urban environment for the conditions of Kabul.
The aim of this work is to analyze the geometric parameters of the basin topography of Kabul and the formation of his classification for the construction of a residential development.
Important research of this problem is the most common Kabul’s relief forms, where there is a calm microclimate conditions.
On the basis of the conducted researches wind modes the most common forms of basin topography of Kabul height to the origin of slope α=h/a and with different variations of the width of the angle of the slope.
Based on the results of the research identified the main scheme of ventilation of the city
The article can be useful for designers in the selection of the schemes of ventilation of residential building for optimal decisionmaking for the mountainous basin topography of Kabul.
