Application of adjustable asynchronous motors in housing and communal services.
In search of a compromise solution

Abstract. Over the past 10 years, there has been an active introduction of controllable drive asynchronous electric motors at housing and communal facilities. This is done to harmonize the characteristics of the pump and the pipeline system by adjusting the rotational speed of the impeller or fan in the heatwater supply or ventilation systems. In the article the features of operation of a frequencycontrolled asynchronous electric motor in the sphere of housing and communal services are considered. The problems the owner of the real estate object or the operating organization may face after the introduction of a frequencycontrolled drive in pipeline engineering systems of various buildings are considered. Without taking into account the factors considered in this article, it is either very difficult or impossible to get a positive result from installing a frequency controller to control the revolutions of a serial drive asynchronous motor.
